Five people — two Kuwaitis and three young women, two Iraqis and a Jordanian — who were found under the influence of alcohol, have been referred to the concerned authorities, reports Annahar daily. The daily added, the arrest came during a security check at a checkpoint. Police discovered all the occupants of the car were under the influence of alcohol. Police also seized from the car two bottles of booze. During initial interrogation the ‘drunkards’ said they were on their way home from, what they called ‘red night party’, in a livestock pen of a friend.
‘Let’s have fun’: A Kuwaiti woman, who is in her 30s, has filed a complaint with the police accusing an unidentified person of harassing her while she was driving, reports Annahar daily. In her complaint the woman said when she stopped at a red traffic light; the suspect gave her his cell phone number and asked her if she was interested in going to his apartment to have fun.
Car ‘snatched’: Police are looking for three unidentified persons for stealing the vehicle of a Kuwaiti man and his wife’s handbag, reports Al- Jarida daily. The daily added, this happened when the man parked the car outside a mosque and went to pray. As the wife and daughter waited for his return, three youths armed with batons forced the duo out of the car and escaped with the vehicle. Police then combed the area and found the vehicle abandoned in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints.
Drugs seized: Customs officers at the Kuwait International Airport have referred an unidentified Asian passenger to the authorities, reports Annahar daily. The daily added, the man was attempting to smuggle 700 Tramadol pills into the country. The daily said the man arrived from an unidentified GCC country and the drugs were found hidden in his baggage.
Egyptian robbed: An unidentified Egyptian man has filed a complaint with the Fintas Police Station accusing a thief of breaking into his apartment and stealing KD 3,800, reports Al-Qabas daily. He added, the thief broke into his home when he went to visit friends with his family. When he returned home, he said, he was shocked to find the apartment door broken and money from the bedroom safe missing. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints.
